Twister Pins A Hit For Proprietor

Sep 26, 2011 My Title

Century Lanes in Hampton, Va., re-opened after making various improvements to the bowling center, one of them being the switch from traditional wood pins to the synthetic Twister Pins.

“We received information from Ebonite Bowling Center Direct promoting these pins,” said Steve Dolan, Manager for Century Lanes.  “After viewing the video that describes the difference between the wood and synthetic pins on their website, I made the decision to switch.”

After hitting the market in the summer of 1999, Twister bowling pins are internationally known and are considered the “pin of the future” by many proprietors.  With its durability, low cost per line, consistent scorability and one of the best warranties around, these synthetic pins are sure to be a success in any bowling center.

“We are excited to be able to provide such an exceptional product to our consumers,” said Pete Moyer, Director of Ebonite Bowling Center Direct.  “Twister pins exhibit superior characteristics and are the only synthetic pin to have USBC approval.”

Unlike the conventional wood pin, these synthetic pins do not compact or compress like wood, nor is there a concern for moisture content or the need to “rest” the Twister.  With its extreme durability, the Twister lasts approximately twice as long as the wood pin. Where a wood pin requires replacement after approximately two years, the Twister can survive up to four years, leaving the overall cost per line less than any other pin on the market. Additionally, Twister pins exhibit real red stripes that glow under the appropriate black light and work with all automatic scoring systems.

“We are pleased with the quality and durability of the Twister pin,” said Dolan. “We have only had to wash the pins one time since our initial purchase.”  Century Lanes is currently the only bowling center in the Tidewater County, Va. area to provide a quality synthetic pin to their bowlers. “Being the first in our area to make the switch provides us with the opportunity to stand out from other centers.”

Ebonite International obtained exclusive worldwide distribution rights for Twister bowling pins in March of this year and is the only company with synthetic pin distribution as well as a manufacturer and distributor of wood pins, UStrike, from their Hopkinsville, Kentucky facility.  They will distribute Twister pins in North and South America, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Twister pins may be purchased by visiting Ebonite Bowling Center Direct.
